ASUS BC-12B1ST DVD Drive
I managed to flash this thing with LibreDrive from MakeMKV so now it can play UHD discs as well!
Sadly, the tray automatically closes if open for 3 minutes, and it drives me crazy!
With DVD in drive:

Old notes from 2020 (?): I still have it, so I don't know if/when I actually returned it.
Had to return mine. :( On some boots it wouldn't register in the BIOS, would show up as an IDE drive, or the kernel would have events loading it. I'm certain that the “e-green” functionality that's designed to save power by spinning down faster and spinning up more slowly is the problem. Scanning some DVDs it'd take seconds to respond.
